The bird’s eye view shows the wreckage left following a storm, with the loft clearly visible through the damaged tiles
A large hole left by lightning striking a roof has been photographed by a drone, offering a bird’s eye view of the destruction.
The property, in Wigan, Lancashire, was hit on the tiles during a storm on Thursday.
Although a family was inside at the time, no one was harmed during the incident.
They heard a ‘loud bang’ but were only alerted when neighbours across the road spotted smoke and flames pouring out from the roof and banged on their front door to get them out.
